The Salvation Army Food Shelf is asking for help during the Minnesota Food Share March campaign, according to a press release.
There is always a need for corporations, congregations, civic groups, schools and individuals to organize food drives to help neighbors in their time of need. Whatever is donated from March 1 to March 31, whether food or money, will go towards a partial grant match that will allow an increase in buying power with the Channel One Food Bank.
The food shelf is presently in need of macaroni and cheese, tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, cereal and canned meats.
Food or money donations can be dropped off between office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Salvation Army, 302 Court St. in Albert Lea. For more information call the Salvation Army at 507-373-5710.
