In its second home meet of the season, the Albert Lea boys’ track and field team won three events but fell short of Red Wing and Austin.

The Tigers took third place with 45 points Tuesday at the Hammer Complex.

Red Wing won the meet with 84 points, and Austin took second with 57.

Albert Lea’s Caleb Troe took first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:42.77, Colton Mowers won the 100 in 11.89 seconds, and Jackson Goodell took gold in the 3,200 with a time of 10:17.97.

The Tigers also placed second in six of their respective events. Abraham Peterson placed second in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.84 seconds. Tyler Anderson took silver in the 400 with a time of 54.85. Troe took second in the 800 with a time of 2:06.57. Mowers placed second in the 200 with a time of 24.18. Connor Larson cleared 9-6 to take second in the pole vault and was a member of the 4×400 relay team took second with a time of 3:41.90.

Next, Albert Lea will compete at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Winona.
