Scouts collect food

Twenty adults and 28 Scouts participated in the annual Scouting for Food drive at the end of March, collecting 4,286 pounds of food that went to the Ecumenical Food Pantry and the Albert Lea Salvation Army. Of the smaller towns participating, Glenville residents donated 55 pounds; Emmons, 53 pounds; Twin Lakes, two bags; and Clarks Grove 265 pounds. Organizers thanked Alliance Benefit Group, Hy-Vee, The Freeborn County Shopper and Market Place Foods, along with all those who helped gather food or get the word out about the food drive. - Provided
