With the last day of the school year drawing closer, plans for the 2015-2016 school year are underway at St. Casimir’s School in Wells. Principal Joanne Tibodeau is pleased to announce that beyond the traditional kindergarten through sixth-grade classes, the school will also offer three new programs beginning next fall.
The new programs include the early childhood programs of Little Angels and Little Saints and an after school care program for students. A short explanation of all of the SCS program offerings is as follows:
Kindergarten through grade six: Academic excellence is integrated with the truths and values of the Catholic faith by dedicated, experienced teachers licensed by the state of Minnesota as the students are encouraged to use their God-given talents. Working with the University of Notre Dame, the school will begin the process of implementing an exciting new curriculum.
Little Angels: A half-day preschool program is offered two or three times per week for children who are 3 to 5 years-old by Sept. 1 of the current year.
Little Saints: A state-licensed all-day pre-kindergarten program for children who have turned at least 4 years of age by Sept. 1. This program is offered three to five times per week basis according to parent’s wishes.
After school care: For parents wanting extended hour care for their children, this program fits that need very well. Care is provided beginning at 2:50 p.m. (when SCS dismisses students for the day) until 6 p.m. every day of the week for students turning 4 years old by Sept. 1 all the way through the sixth grade.
St. Casimir’s School is open to all area students. For more information, contact the school at 507-553-5822.
