St. Casimir’s School in Wells was the recipient of an unexpected gift in the form of local resident Rita Bebler, left, who came bearing a check from Clothes Closet in Wells. The $500 check was gratefully accepted by Principal Joanne Tibodeau, right, on behalf of the school families. Clothes Closet is a thrift store outreach program of United Methodist Church in Wells. Through the sale of donated items, Clothes Closet is able to help provide financial assistance to many organizations, programs and events within local communities — such as area schools, Head Start, Interfaith Caregivers, Meals on Wheels and SubSanta. As the store has grown, so have the funds available to the local communities. The emphasis of their giving is to children, seniors and those dealing with medical issues. - Provided
