To the Midwest Regional Ski Tournament.
Some of the best skiers from Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin are in Albert Lea this weekend to compete in the Midwest Regional Ski Tournament on Edgewater Bay.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, this would be a great thing to check out. Support our local youth and many of their parents. Bring a chair or a blanket to sit on.
To movies in the park.
First Presbyterian Church, the Albert Lea Family Y and Albert Lea Parks and Recreation collaborated on Friday to bring a movie to Edgewater Park.
Outdoor movies are a lot of fun, and it was a chance for many children to make some memories.
Thanks for providing opportunities for young families in the community.
To efforts underway through the Albert Lea Entrepreneur Advancement Program.
It is exciting to see the collaboration between Blandin Community Leadership Program graduates, the city, the Albert Lea Economic Development Agency and the founders of the The Marketing Plant, who have come together to create opportunities for entrepreneurs in Freeborn County.
The Albert Lea area has seen some successful entrepreneurs in years past, and we hope this will help spawn even more.
The initiative includes a six-week training course, monthly mentoring and networking, along with a co-working space among other components.
People can contact ALEDA 373-3930 or Mariah Lynne or Abby Murray at The Marketing Plant at 383-7200.
To the death of Albert Lea resident Claire Vermedahl.
Albert Lea lost a wonderful man on Sunday with the death of Claire Vermedahl. Vermedahl was involved in multiple organizations in the community and always strived to make others feel appreciated and welcome.
We hope others will remember his legacy and strive to make Albert Lea a better place.
Our thoughts go out to Claire’s wife, Ruth, and other family members at this time.
