Jimmie “Jim” Lee Phagan, 65, passed away at home Monday, July 13, 2015, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Jim owned a truck driving business in Grand Prairie, Texas. He loved working with his hands, NASCAR, Rangers baseball and John Deere tractors. Jim will be remembered for his playful nature, his kind heart, his unwavering faith in God, his willingness to give to his friends, colleagues and strangers alike, and his utter devotion to his family. He took much joy near the end of his life visiting with his work family at Home Depot and watching his grandchildren play.

Jim is survived by his wife, Betty, of 41 years; children Jenny Phagan, Sarah (Jason) Black and Mindy (David) Medick; grandchildren Hudson and Tatum Medick; mother, Dorothy Phagan; siblings Tim (Geri) Phagan and Charlie (Becky) Phagan; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim will be welcomed to his eternal home by his father, Gene Phagan, who passed away Dec. 25, 2009.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at The Oaks Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at The Oaks Baptist Church with burial to follow at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens.
