I just got back from spending the Fourth of July weekend up in Brainerd. Two of my friends and my son and I rode up to the drag races and had a blast. One thing we got a kick out of was seeing the Confederate flag being flown everywhere. It was on trucks and houses and flag poles and golf carts. I got back home yesterday and find out about the controversy over one lousy Confederate flag. This politically correct stuff has gone too far! Where will it stop? Now a firefighter has pretty much lost his job? Is this how you people treat a man who is willing to risk his life to try to save your burning house? Shame on all of you who make such a big deal out of such a little thing! Maybe you people should fight to change the name of Albert Lea! The city is named after a Confederate soldier! Col. Albert Lea fought for the South! This country is falling apart because of all the junk that is being forced on us.
