A.L. firefighters extinguish trailer fire

Albert Lea Fire Department firefighters douse a fire in a trailer hauled by a pickup in front of UPS, 707 E. 12th St. Supervisor Cory Shea said the maintenance worker who does work for the company was showing him something on the business’s conveyor belt when they heard a pop and the fire started. The pickup and trailer, belonging to the worker, had been parked in the parking lot near building and a UPS trailer, but the worker got in the truck and moved them to the street as a precautionary measure. No packages transported by UPS were affected as a result of the fire. The cause has not been determined. -Sarah Stultz/Albert Lea Tribune
