Services resume at Myre-Big Island State Park

Worship services will resume this Sunday at Myre-Big Island State Park with Carolyn Smith, a lay speaker at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea leading the service. This is Carolyn’s first time at the state park, and we want to show her all of the support that we can. Summer services are almost over for the year with only two services left at Myre-Big Island. For those of you who have been putting off attending, now is the time to come. Services are held at 8 a.m. in the pavilion on the big island. (Just look for the cars). For the last few Sundays, we have been having our service in the pavilion due to the numbers of mosquitos in the outdoor chapel. There has been a nice breeze and the pavilion has been almost mosquito free. A few weeks ago, we were even joined by a little bird that took quite an interest in what we were doing there. Come out and help us celebrate over 50 years of this important ministry. I hope to see you there.
