1 arrested for DWI after hitting parked car, tree

Albert Lea police arrested Jorge Vidal Martinez Reyes early Friday for second-degree driving while intoxicated and fleeing the scene at 523 Euclid Ave. in Albert Lea.

He was arrested after a report was made at 12:40 a.m. of a Cadillac Escalade hitting a white Chrysler Town & Country and a tree. The minivan sustained significant damage.

Martinez Reyes was reportedly spotted running toward Kwik Trip and was apprehended.

No injuries were reported. His PBT was measured at 0.23.

 

Door kicked in

Someone apparently tried to kick in a door to an apartment Thursday morning. The incident was reported at 8:32 a.m. at 133 W. William St. in Albert Lea. Damage was estimated at approximately $150.

 

Thefts reported

A charitable container with money was reported stolen at 11:33 a.m. Thursday from the Shell gas station, 116 Bridge Ave. The theft reportedly happened Wednesday night.

The Shell Rock River Watershed District reported a theft at 8:17 a.m. Thursday from along Albert Lea Lake off of Freeborn County Road 19.

 

Robbery reported

A back door was reported broken into at 2:02 p.m. Thursday at 619 W. Clark St. in Albert Lea. The door was reportedly broken into between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

 

2 arrested for drugs

Police arrested Mark Allen Kuiper for drugs at 5 p.m. Thursday at 606 Water St. in Albert Lea.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Frank Nolan on fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance at 3:16 p.m. Thursday at 1324 South Shore Drive in Albert Lea.

 

Man arrested on warrant

Anthony Trevor Auchampach turned himself in on a warrant at 5:18 p.m. Thursday at the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center.
