1 arrested for DWI

Police arrested James Michael Willis, 38, for driving while intoxicated at 1:17 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Frank Hall Drive and East Seventh Street in Albert Lea.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Police arrested Jaime Lopez Hernandez, 29, on a warrant for first-degree burglary at 4:53 a.m. Monday at the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center.

 

Thefts reported

A bike was reported stolen at 1:59 p.m. Saturday at 736 W. Front St. in Albert Lea. The alleged incident reportedly happened Friday night. The bike was described as being a purple, “Butte” brand girls’ mountain bike. The bike was valued at $50.

A cellphone was reported stolen at 9:24 p.m. Sunday at 920 W. Front St. The black T-Mobile LG touch screen phone was described as having a large crack in the screen. The phone was reportedly worth $180.

 

Assault reported

A mother reported her son being assaulted at 5:21 p.m. Sunday at 311 E. Seventh St. in Albert Lea. She said he had been choked and threatened approximately a half-hour before at another home.

 

Criminal damage to property reported

Damage was reported to a 1995 Chevrolet truck at 9:14 p.m. Sunday. The damage was reportedly done while the alleged victim was at work. Damage was estimated at $1,200. No suspects were identified.
