Alden-Conger senior is making memories on the court

Q: What grade are you in?

A: 12th.

Q: What town do you live in, and which school do you attend?

A: Alden, Alden-Conger School.

 

Q: Who is your immediate family?

A: My mother, Jayne Linn; my father, Shawn Linn.

 

Q: Which sports do you play?

A: Volleyball and softball.

 

Q: What is your favorite part of playing volleyball?

A: Having fun as a team, reaching new goals and accomplishing things no one thought we could do.

 

Q: What has playing volleyball taught you?

A: To work together, to be a great leader, move forward from your mistakes, be a positive influence and many more.

 

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: Winning against (Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial) this year during homecoming. We won in five games!

 

Q: Which game are you looking forward to most this year?

A: Playing St. Clair. They are a big competitor.

 

Q: How did you get started in volleyball?

A: Elementary program hosted by the coaches and varsity volleyball players, then playing in middle school.

 

Q: What sports did your family members play?

A: Dad: wrestling; mom: volleyball, basketball, softball.

Q: What are your sports-related achievements? 

A: Academic All-Conference, Team Player/Spirit Award.

 

Q: What are your sports-related goals? 

A: Have fun, make memories and continue to play for fun after high school.

 

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?

A: Daly Santana and Maya Moore — I look up to them as they are both hard working, determined athletes that seem to amaze me with their athletic skill. Not only do they influence other athletes, but they influence women to follow their goals.

 

Q: What are your college plans? Major?

A: I plan on attending Minnesota State University, Mankato and majoring in dental hygiene.

 

Q: What is your favorite school subject? 

A: Math and science.

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher? 

A: Mrs. Wallin.

 

Q: What are your hobbies? 

A: Hanging out with friends, camping, sitting around fires and sports.

 

Q: What is your dream job?

A: Having a job I enjoy and look forward to going to every day.

 

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

A: “One Tree Hill.”

 

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?

A: I broke my arm while doing a cartwheel.
