Fall hours at transfer station to begin Oct. 1

The city of Albert Lea has announced its fall hours for the Albert Lea Transfer Station and Demolition Landfill. 

Hours from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30 will be the following:

Noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Friday

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Services include disposal of household garbage, brush and demolition.

There is also recycling of electronics, used oil, cardboard, paper, appliances, scrap metal, glass and cans. In addition,people can compost their yard waste.
