WINDOM — The Minnesota State Patrol is looking for a man following a wreck that left a semi in pieces — and its driver alive thanks to the brave acts of an unknown good Samaritan.
The Patrol said a trooper was holding traffic for a funeral procession on Highway 60 in Windom in southwestern Minnesota on Monday when the trucker failed to stop and rear ended another semi. The trooper and the good Samaritan ran to the wreck and pulled the driver from the burning cab.
The driver is recovering from significant, but non-life threatening injuries.
The trooper said he could not have rescued the injured driver without the help, so the Patrol wants to recognize the unknown hero.
According to a press release, anyone with information about the good Samaritan can contact the State Patrol’s Marshall office.
