St. John’s Lutheran Community acknowledges the generous gift from Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin for the development of a wellness area to be housed on St. John’s Lutheran Community on Fountain Lake. The completion date is scheduled for April of 2017.

According to a press release, the new wellness area will house the latest in aerobic and resistance equipment with wellness classes offered to the entire St. John’s campus on Fountain Lake. Memberships may be available to the community in the future.

“We are excited to partner with Mayo Clinic Health System to add yet another wellness opportunity to the Albert Lea area,” said Scot Spates, St. John’s Lutheran Community CEO and administrator. “This donation will allow us to create a dedicated space for health programs and age-appropriate exercise.”
