Woman arrested after crashing into cars, garage

An Austin woman was arrested for drunken driving after her car crashed into two other vehicles and a garage, and landed on its roof Tuesday night on Garfield Avenue in Albert Lea.
Savannah Noelle Hartzog, 26, the driver of a 2012 Nissan Juke, was reportedly traveling north on Garfield Avenue at a high rate of speed, according to Albert Lea police.
She reportedly lost control of the car just north of Fairlane Terrace and then struck a 2003 Audi and a 2006 Chrysler. She also reportedly struck a garage at 1313 Garfield Ave. Damage was sustained to the garage.
Hartzog, conscious after the crash, was arrested for first-degree driving while intoxicated and was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.
Police stated the Audi sustained severe damage to the rear, the Nissan was reported as a total loss and the Chrysler sustained moderate damage to the rear.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash was reported at 10:57 p.m.
Motorcyclist injured in crash
One person was taken to the hospital after a pickup truck struck a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of East Main Street and Ulstad Avenue in Albert Lea.
Albert Lea police stated the motorcycle, a 2006 Harley Davidson driven by Ricky Allen Severtson, 64, of Austin, was reportedly heading west on Main Street. A 1998 Dodge pickup driven by Yuko Worke, 65, of Albert Lea, was going to make a left-hand turn at the intersection of Main Street and Ulstad Avenue.
Worke reportedly waited for another vehicle to go by and then pulled out in front of the motorcycle, according to police.
Severtson was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with injuries deemed not life-threatening.
The motorcycle Severtson was driving sustained severe damage to the front of the motorcycle. The right rear of the pickup sustained moderate damage.
Worke was cited for failure to yield to the right of way.
