The Albert Lea area has a lot of strong businesswomen.

Some are young. Some are old. Some are married. Some are single. Some have children. Some don’t.

Though their backgrounds may be different, they all have one thing in common: They can be successful at anything they put their minds to and are able to juggle many responsibilities in life.

Today, in the Tribune’s annual Women in Business special section, we feature women at three businesses.

At the first business is Chelsea Hanson, co-owner of Geneva Bar & Grill, who balances five children and running a business with her husband, Hans.

The second business, Flip Flop Farm Girls, was founded by Sue Martin and Jennie Johnson almost a year ago. Martin and Johnson became friends through their husbands and quickly found out they shared an interest in crafting and repurposing items. They now sell crafts, gifts, antiques and home décor items, to name a few.

The third business, Trades & Labor Federal Credit Union, is run solely by women. The women strive for excellence in financial products, services and education.
