Fairmont was listed as No. 10, and Austin at No. 2.

The article states Austin costs about 19.7 percent less to live in than the national average and that the price of a pizza is almost 16 percent lower there than the national average. The median property tax for Mower County is $948.

The ranking comes after Realtor.com last month listed Albert Lea as No.3 across the country for the top 10 affordable small towns where you’d actually want to live.
