Glenville-Emmons hosted an alumni boys’ basketball game Nov. 13 in Glenville. Graduates from 2004 to 2013 participated. The veteran blue squad won 59-57 in a fun, competitive game, according to Jared Matson, the Wolverines boys’ basketball coach. Matson and Lucas Knutson, the Glenville-Emmons girls’ basketball coach, were referees. Organizers plan for the game to be an annual event. The Wolverines boys’ basketball team played its season opener Friday against Lyle/Pacelli. Although Derek Van Ryswyk led Glenville-Emmons with a double-double — 16 points and 10 rebounds — the Wolverines fell 69-38. Next, Glenville-Emmons will play at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at Hope Lutheran. - Provided
