Marvel Kaiser, 90, of Wells died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Wells United Methodist Church. The Rev. Paul Woolverton will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Dunbar Memorial Cemetery in rural Wells. Marvel Kaiser

Marvel M. Kaiser was born Sept. 3, 1925, the daughter of Eli and Meta Adeline (Quade) Beckmann in rural Wells. On May 28, 1945, Marvel was united in marriage to Lawrence “Jim” Kaiser in Wells. Marvel was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars ladies’ auxiliaries. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking and embroidery. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, Jim, and bird watching. Marvel was an avid Minnesota sports fan.  She loved watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Marvel was a member of United Methodist Church in Wells.

Marvel is survived by her children Loren (Terri) Kaiser of Albert Lea, Diane (Darrell) Darby of Eagle River, Arkansas, Marilyn Recknor of Waseca, Allen Kaiser of Wells, Connie (Dennis) Murphy of Olympia, Washington, and Danny (Denise) Kaiser of Lacey, Washington; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Manny Beckmann, of Waseca; along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
