MIDLAND, Mich. — An ex-convict suspected in the death of a woman found in a house fire in Michigan has been returned to the state after being captured in Minnesota.
Authorities said 46-year-old Gregory Rose was arrested Monday in Carleton County after a high-speed chase. He was traveling in a vehicle stolen from the Army Corps of Engineers.
He was driven back to Michigan on Thursday and was awaiting a hearing. The court said Friday morning he doesn’t yet have a lawyer on record.
Prosecutor J. Dee Brooks said he charged Rose with home invasion and other crimes related to an incident Nov. 12 in Midland County’s Geneva Township.
Sixty-seven-year-old Connie Eileen Pajunen of Shepherd was found dead Nov. 13 in Midland County’s Greendale Township.
