Tigers receive awards for volleyball season

Four members of the Albert Lea volleyball team were recognized as Big Nine All-Conference selections at the team’s awards banquet. From left are Julia Deyak, Big Nine All-Conference; Camryn Keyeski, Big Nine All-Conference; Allison Grandstrand, Big Nine All-Conference honorable mention; and Sarah De Haan, Big Nine All-Conference honorable mention. Highlights of the season for the Tigers (7-18, 3-8 Big Nine) included conference wins over Austin, Rochester John Marshall and Rochester Century, a team that finished 21-7, and a 2-0 sweep of Burnsville on Oct. 3 after a 3-2 loss against the same team on Sept. 8. - Provided
