On Nov. 28 and Nov. 29, Amy Bohlen competed for the title of Miss Minnesota USA at the Ames Center in Burnsville.

According to a press release, Bohlen was one of 31 girls to compete in the Miss division. Girls came from all around the state to compete. Bohlen competed in the Miss Minnesota pageant last year and was asked back by the Miss MN USA organization again this year. She has been preparing for the competition since the minute she left the stage last year.

There were three different categories that she was judged in interview, swimwear and evening wear. Even though Bohlen did not place this year, she received an award for highest score in the swimwear competition. Bohlen has enjoyed her experience so much, that she fully intends on going back next year.
