Celebrating Christmas at the American Legion

The annual American Legion Post 56 Kids Christmas Party was at the American Legion in Albert Lea on Dec. 12. The Christmas party was open to the public with no need to be an American Legion member. There were 120 children and 50 adults who enjoyed free food and refreshments, played games, received prizes and met Santa. The party ended with many grand prizes given away to children of various ages. Donations from the following provided funding for the party: American Legion Post 56, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 447, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 16, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group, Albert Lea Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce and Thrivent Financial Group. — Provided
