Damage to semi
Damage was reported to a blue semi truck at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday at 2751 E. Main St. The owner reportedly parked the semi in Love’s Truck Stop, came back and noticed damage to the front grill of the semi. Damage was estimated at $600 to $700.
Check forgery
A check stolen at Diamond Jo Casino was reported forged at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave.
Car ramps stolen
Car ramps were reported stolen at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday at 1507 S.E. Broadway. Estimated value was $200.
Identity theft reported
Someone reported receiving a phone call from a collection agency saying she owed more than $1,000 to Verizon Wireless at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday at 920 W. Front St. Lt. Darren Hanson said the incident was likely a scam.
Laundry machines broken into
Basement laundry machines were reported broken into at 5:03 p.m. Wednesday at 521 Euclid Ave. A washer and a dryer were reportedly broken into and quarters removed.
1 arrested on probation violation
Albert Lea police arrested Jason Christopher Kraft, 43, on an apprehension and detention order at 10:17 p.m. Wednesday at 1207 Cedar Ave.
1 cited for drug paraphernalia
Police cited Bradley Michael Weller, 20, for expired registration, possession of drug paraphernalia and no proof of insurance at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday at 122 Bridge Ave.
Police still looking for vehicle in hit-and-run crash
Albert Lea police are still looking for a vehicle in connection with a hit-and-run crash Tuesday north of Trail’s Travel Center that left one person injured.
Police are looking for a white, 1997 to 2007 model GMC pickup. Police said the vehicle should have extensive front end drivers side damage. The truck was reportedly not at fault in the crash, but the driver could be cited with leaving the scene of a crash.
