Dennis Foss, 1942-2015

Dennis G. Foss was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Winnebago, the son of Homer A. and Bernice (Mitchell) Foss.
He graduated from Winnebago High School and began working at Stokely—Van Kamp.
He married Marlys Anderson in 1975.
In the early 1980s he worked for Carlisle Plastics in Fairmont until his health would no longer allow it. He moved to Albert Lea to be closer to his brothers 10 years ago.
His favorite pastime was spending time on his computer. He was also passionate about his woodworking and was proud to have pursued his interest, and became a master electrician.
Dennis died Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Thorne Crest Senior Living Community. He was 73.
He is survived by sons Vernon L. Haning (Kathy Meyer) and children Riley and Tyler, and Rodney Haning and his family; brothers and sisters Allan (Pat) Foss of Fairmont, Richard (Sue) Foss of Albert Lea, Paul Foss (Sara Skaaden) of Albert Lea, Pat (Mort) Pasternack of Sarasota, Florida, Donna Foss of St. Peter and Wendy Barnett (Rick Peters) of Albert Lea; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Bernice Foss; and his wife, Marlys Foss.
A private family service to honor Dennis’ memory will be at a later date.
