The Freeborn County Salvation Army has been able to secure matching funds to encourage donors to show financial support this weekend. All donations made to the Albert Lea Salvation Army on Saturday will be doubled up to $20,000.
“No matter how you donate — at a kettle, online, by phone or in person — every dollar you give will be matched,” said Maj. Louise Delano-Sharpe, Albert Lea Salvation Army administrator.
The challenge funds have been gathered as gifts from friends and businesses within Freeborn County.
“There is still time to receive matching challenge funds any time before the match starts,” Maj. Elsie Cline of the local Salvation Army said.
To double your donation this Saturday, give to a kettle, donate online at salvationarmynorth.org/albertlea, call 507-373-5710 or drop off a check at The Salvation Army at 302 Court St.
Every dollar received stays local and helps The Salvation Army provide critical services to neighbors in need.
