Police arrest 5 after shooting in downtown Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS — Five people have been arrested and three guns have been recovered after a shooting in downtown Minneapolis.
Officers monitoring bar closings responded to the scene after hearing gunshots shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday in the Warehouse District. The officers found a man suffering from injuries that aren’t considered to be life-threatening, a handgun under a car next to the man and bullet casings on both sides of the street.
Three people were arrested in a vehicle that was stopped downtown following the incident. Two additional people were arrested in a vehicle with a window shot out that was stopped on Interstate 94.
Police said the suspects were arrested on suspicion of felony assault.
