Hoffman promoted to retail advertising manager

The Albert Lea Tribune has promoted sales representative Angie Hoffman to the position of retail advertising manager, effective Monday.

Hoffman, 31, has worked at the Tribune for 7 1/2 years.

“I’m very excited to learn more and grow more personally and professionally,” Hoffman said. “I hope to help serve the community, serve the team here, create a positive and empowering environment and bring as much value as we can to our advertisers.”

The Tribune staff is happy to welcome Hoffman to the position, including Publisher Crystal Miller.

“I’ve worked with Angie for almost eight years,” Miller said. “We’re in-sync and make a great team. I’m excited for this opportunity.”

Hoffman grew up in Albert Lea and attended Riverland Community College.

Before working at the Tribune, she managed the Coldstone Creamery and Pizza Hut Express at Trail’s Travel Center.

“I’ve always loved business and selling,” she said.

She and her husband, Robert, own Complete Realty. Together, they manage 68 rental units — 20 of which they own — along with the former Walmart building. Hoffman said she mainly handles the bookkeeping.

Outside of work, Hoffman said she enjoys cooking, researching various topics, and learning about natural health and wellness and business and economics.

She and her husband have three dogs. She said her family is rooted to Albert Lea as both of their families live in the area.
