MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis fire officials said a man is dead after a house fire in south Minneapolis.

The Fire Department said the fire broke out in the single-family home around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

The man who died probably lived in the home. He was the only one home at the time of the fire. His body was found on the second floor, where Assistant Chief Bryan Tyner said the fire burned through the roof.

The name of the victim has not been released.
