Thrivent donates to The Arc of Freeborn County

Thrivent Financial recently provided supporting funds to The Arc of Freeborn County for its soup and chili fundraiser. Funds will enable The Arc to continue to be a supporting agency of the Aktion Club, which is sponsored by the Noon Kiwanis and Day Breakers Kiwanis clubs. The reason for the formation of this group is to build leadership and self-advocacy skills while providing service to others. The Aktion Club assisted with the Dad’s Belgium waffle breakfast for The Arc and is busy planning future community service projects. The Aktion Club helps bring awareness to the community of inclusion and acceptance. There are many ways that people with different abilities and talents can contribute to the richness of the community through inclusion. — Provided
