Truck stolen

A truck was reported stolen at 11:37 p.m. Monday at 1210 E. Main St. An African-American male reportedly got in the alleged victim’s truck and drove off. The male was reported as being 6 foot 3 inches tall, wearing a black hat and a black coat.

 

2 arrested for drunken driving

Albert Lea police arrested Anthony Thomas Wadding, 52, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated at 12:58 a.m. Sunday at 1318 E. Main St.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Ryan Henry Wangsness, 37, for felony DWI at 1:17 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 270th Street and Freeborn County Road 45.

 

1 arrested for disorderly conduct

Deputies arrested Tracie Jo Besco, 40, for disorderly conduct at 8:33 p.m. Friday on Freeborn County Road 17. Besco was arrested after reportedly walking on the road. She reportedly didn’t make sense and seemed intoxicated. Besco was transported to the emergency room.

 

Large fight reported

A large fight was reported at 12:42 a.m. Friday at 1318 E. Main St. More information wasn’t available at press time.

 

Car fire reported

A car fire was reported at 5:24 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Freeborn County Road 13 in Glenville.

 

5 arrested on warrants

Todd Alan Torres, 51, was arrested in Faribault County on a local warrant at 9:59 a.m. Monday.

Police arrested Joshua Dean Lee on an active warrant at 12:53 p.m. Monday on the 1400 block of South Broadway.

Police arrested Tamara Maria Jefferson, 44, on a warrant at 9:49 p.m. Monday at 2306 E. Main St.

The New Richland Police Department arrested John Robert Gibbs, 25, on a Freeborn County warrant at 4:04 p.m. Friday in New Richland.

Deputies arrested Shawn Steven Dufrene, 24, on an Olmsted County warrant at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at 211 First St. in Clarks Grove. Dufrene was arrested after two windows were reportedly broken out of a residence. Dufrene reportedly left with another person, wearing a black hoodie, carrying a baseball bat and heading west down an alley.

 

Backpack missing

A backpack was reported missing at 2:04 a.m. Friday at 1318 E. Main St. The alleged victim reportedly left around the time of the fight call and the backpack wasn’t there when he went back to look for it.

 

Cash stolen

One hundred dollars was reported stolen at 1:43 p.m. Friday at 619 Garfield Ave. The money was reportedly stolen from a wallet that was in a glovebox of a running, unlocked vehicle around noon. Other money in the wallet, the wallet itself, the alleged victim’s purse and bankcard were reportedly not disturbed. No suspects were identified.

 

Window broken out of car

A window was reported broken out of a black Ford Fusion at 8:49 a.m. Friday at 200 E. Third St. The window was reportedly broken by a bottle being thrown through it Thursday night.

 

License plates taken off vehicle

License plates were reportedly taken off of a vehicle at 8:42 p.m. Monday at 2708 Bridge Ave.

 

Counterfeit money reported

A counterfeit $1 bill was reported at 10:53 a.m. Friday at 2808 Bridge Ave.

A counterfeit check was reported at 11:59 a.m. Friday at 1201 Garfield Ave. A resident reportedly received a fraudulent check from Publishers Clearing House.

Three young males reportedly tried passing a counterfeit $100 bill at 4:56 p.m. Thursday at 2011 E. Main St.

 

Medications taken from home

Medications were reported taken from a residence at 9:07 a.m. Sunday at 2007 S.E. Marshall St. The house was reportedly not locked.

 

Fire reported

A house was reported filling up with smoke at 11:24 p.m. Friday at 77089 135th St., outside Glenville. A gas smell was reportedly coming from the basement.  The Glenville Fire Department responded to the dryer fire. No injuries were reported and only the dryer was reportedly damaged.
