Albert Lea student helps pack food

Students from the K-12 online public school MTS Minnesota Connections Academy and their families, including Albert Lea’s Kimberly Varness, right, recently volunteered at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan. The Connections Academy group packed 5,660 meals in under two hours. The field trip was organized by Connections Academy’s student council members. The school’s field trips and community events offer students, who attend the tuition-free school from home, the chance to socialize with other students, family members and faculty. -Provided
