LANESBORO — About 300 people gathered at a candlelight vigil to remember a 10-year-old boy who was killed in a weekend ATV crash.
Family, friends and community members remembered Hunter Bergo as a character in his fourth-grade classroom at Lanesboro Elementary School. He was also remembered for having a heart of gold.
Authorities have released few details about the crash, which happened Saturday.
According to a press release, family friend Nick Bakke said Hunter was making a routine trip on the large ATV to drop off egg cartons at a neighbor’s house.
Bakke said Hunter took a corner too fast and rolled the ATV on a gravel road.
