The Lighthouse Theatre and Event Center will host The Story Show. The show is  at 7 p.m. April 9. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Children under 12 will be admitted but need to get children’s tickets in advance.

Speakers for the show will include Laura Lunde, Megan Radke, Rick Bonlender, Kristin Kyllo, Jennifer Vogt-Erickson, Riley Worth and Amanda Lester, Peter Sunnarborg and a special guest speaker. The Story Show is readings from the stage with all stories centered on a theme. The theme for this show is new beginnings. Local people will be reading stories, poems and letters with each story being five to seven minutes in length. The program will last 90 minutes with a musical intermission.

The money raised from the event will benefit the Garth Barker Memorial Scholarship and its fundraising event Bikes for Barker. The Garth Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Fountain Centers Director Garth Barker, who passed away in 2007. It provides financial aid to individuals who wish to continue their education in the field of chemical dependency counseling.
