Funeral services for LuAnn Aman of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bridge Community Church North. The Rev. Clayton Balsley will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

LuAnn died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Oak Park Place in Albert Lea. She was 83.

LuAnn was born Sept. 8, 1932, in Maple Island, the daughter of Holger and Katherine (Lorens) Nielsen. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1951.

On Aug. 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to Thomas Aman in Albert Lea.

LuAnn was a resident of Albert Lea all of her life and had been employed by the Ben Franklin store and retired from the Metz baking company. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she spent many years teaching Sunday school. In her free time she enjoyed bowling and coffee with friends, but enjoyed most of all time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children Katherine (Jon) Ostrander of Thompson, Iowa, Jody (Tim) Wolfskill of Albert Lea, Karen (Dale) Hansen of Morgan and Dale (Carolyn) Aman of Forest City. There are three grandchildren, Ben (Nicole) Hansen and their children Colin and Jackson, and Sam (Anne) Hansen and Jacob (Rachel) Hansen. One sister survives, Virginia Fiscus, of Iowa Falls, Iowa; brother, Robert (Donna) Nielson, of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Jessie Garska, of Blue Mound, Nebraska; and special friends Ron (Judy) Hansen of Albert Lea and their children Kelly Anderson (Noah and Esther), Robin (Mark) Russell (Maddie, Titus, Naomi and Timothy), Emily (Tim) Reed (Owen, Griffin and Ruby). There are numerous nieces and nephews.

LuAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; brothers Kenneth, Richard, Marvin, Paul and Steven Nielsen; sister, Shirley Christensen; brothers-in-law Earl and Harold Aman; and sister-in-law, Lulu Fisher.
