Squirts finish successful season

The Albert Lea A Squirt hockey team finished a successful season by winning the Onalaska tournament in Onalaska, Wisconsin, the weekend of Feb. 20. In the tournament they played three games. The weekend started with a 5-0 victory over Dubuque, followed by a 5-2 victory over Quad Cities to reach the championship game against the home team.  The team fought back from trailing 0-2 halfway through the game to win with a 3-2 overtime victory. The team finished the year with a 21-6-2 record. Contributing to the team were, front row, from left, Dakota Jahnke; second row, Blaine Bakken, Elijah Farris, Beau Schreiber, Tim Chalmers, Joseph Yoon and Jack Ladlie; and back row, Dirk Fornwald, Max Edwin, Spencer VanBeek, Gavin Quam, Keygan Lundak and Joshua Behrends.
