The city of Albert Lea has announced its transfer station summer hours schedule that begins Friday. According to a press release, the station will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday from Friday through Sept. 30.

Services provided include household garbage disposal, brush disposal, electronics recycling, used oil recycling, cardboard/paper recycling, demolition debris disposal, appliance recycling, scrap metal recycling, glass/can recycling and yard waste composting. Free compost and wood chips are also available at times.
