According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Heser was driving a 2014 Kenworth semi east on Interstate 90 a mile west of the Oakland exit when the wind blew the trailer into the ditch, causing it to roll into the median. The crash took place at 8:27 p.m.

Roads were wet at the time of the crash.

Alcohol was reportedly not a factor, and Heser was wearing his seat belt.

Minnesota Department of Transportation officials assisted with traffic control, and the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted at the scene.
