2 arrested after assault

Police arrested Donald Maurice McCormick, 20, and Cody Shawn Rhyns, 45, for felony assault and felons in possession of a firearm at at 5:15 a.m. Saturday at 1030 1/2 S. Broadway.

The alleged victim reportedly tried to recover $200, and was reportedly struck in the face with a firearm by Rhyns. A search warrant was served on the apartment. A SWAT team was called in.

Two juveniles transported

Two juveniles were reportedly transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea after a rollover crash at 11:02 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Freeborn County roads 46 and 12.

The injuries were deemed not life-threatening.

A juvenile was reportedly cited for reckless driving in connection with the crash. Alcohol was reportedly not a factor in the crash.

1 arrested for stolen vehicle

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Juan Miguel Salcedo, 33, for motor vehicle theft, fourth-degree criminal damage to property, no Minnesota driver’s license, open container violation and no insurance Friday at the intersection of Freeborn County roads 4 and 11.

1 arrested for domestic assault

Deputies arrested Deloris Jane Doyle, 53, for domestic assault, disorderly conduct and driving after revocation at 4:42 p.m. Saturday at 80083 180th St., outside Hayward.

1 arrested on warrant

Albert Lea police arrested Quentin Lamont Guyton, 29, on a local warrant at 818 Jefferson Ave.

Mobile home damaged

Broken windows and damage were reported to a mobile home at 11:41 a.m. Friday at 2302 Ethel Ave.

Garage fire reported

A garage fire was reported at 3:43 p.m. Sunday at 814 Minnesota Ave. No injuries were reported. Damage was reported to the garage. Look to the Tribune for more information about this incident.

Person bitten by cat

A female was reported injured after being bitten by one of her farm cats at 6:39 p.m. Friday at 79003 325th St., outside Ellendale. The female reportedly received four puncture wounds to her wrist and was taken to the emergency room as a precaution.

Car fire reported

A car fire was reported at 7:40 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of interstates 35 and 90. Minnesota State Patrol troopers responded.

Generator stolen

A generator was reported stolen at 8:06 p.m. Sunday at 113 McKinley St. in Manchester.
