Border League reunion planned

The fifth annual Border League reunion has been scheduled for April 30 at Double Play Sports Bar, 115 E. 16th St. in Blue Earth, according to a press release. The reunion will start at 2 p.m. and end at 5 p.m.

The Border League reunion targets former athletic directors, coaches, officials, administration and athletes who participated during the existence of the Border League from 1946 to 1989. All former athletes of the Border League are invited, and All-Conference athletes of the 1940s, 1956, 1966, 1976 and 1986 will be recognized. The schools that participated  over the years were Alden, Bricelyn, Ceylon, Delavan, East Chain, Elmore, Emmons, Freeborn, Frost, Granada Huntley, Kiester, Lyle, Martin Luther, Minnesota Lake, Rake, Scarville, Trimont, Welcome and Winnebago.

Those attending are asked to confirm via email at bhanson204@gmail.com. Confirmations will help with planning for seating and amount of staffing for service to the members. There will be a cash bar and anything can be ordered off the menu if desired.
