The Albert Lea chapter of the Audubon Society proudly announces that Stan Tekiela, naturalist, author and wildlife photographer, will be giving yet another of his fine presentations: “Bird Nests.” It will be at 7 p.m. today in the Little Theater at Albert Lea’s Southwest Middle School. This event is free to the public.
Prior to Stan’s presentation, Carol Hegel Lang will be available by 6:15 p.m. to provide information regarding “Saving the Monarch Butterflies of Freeborn County.” Carol will offer advice to gardeners on attracting and saving these iconic creatures from extinction, as well as attracting other butterflies, pollinators, birds and other wildlife!
The second event, on Thursday, is the Civil War Roundtable to be held in the media center of Southwest Middle School. Ben Mortensen will give a presentation on “War Gaming,” the stuff of strategies and tactics of the Civil War. This event is also free to the public.
