Police looking for 2 suspects in home invasion

The Albert Lea Police Department is looking for two suspects in connection with an armed home invasion Thursday night in Albert Lea.

Police are looking for Jessie Lamar Crum, 35, of Rochester and an unknown female, who reportedly drove the vehicle used to transport the suspects. She reportedly waited outside during the incident. Crum is believed to be in possession of a firearm.

According to a news release, police were dispatched to 610 Ruble Ave. shortly after 9 p.m. on a report of a home invasion in progress.

Upon arrival, officers reportedly determined two suspects forced their way into the house while a third suspect drove the vehicle used to the flee the scene.

The suspects reportedly entered the residence and threatened the victims, forcing two children to leave with the suspects. Jessie Crum reportedly used a gun during the incident, the release stated.

The children were reportedly later found and taken into protective custody.

The suspects reportedly knew the victim, and the dispute was over child custody.

Police arrested Benita Nicole Crum, 33, of Rochester for burglary and other related charges.

Police advise not confronting the suspects, as they are believed to be armed.
