WASECA — Fire has destroyed the grandstands at a treasured baseball field in Waseca.

The blaze broke out at Tink Larson Field about 8 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators will look for a cause of the fire.

Waseca Superintendent Tom Lee said the sports venue is important to the community because all levels of baseball are played there. Lee said some of the seats were from the old Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington.
