Website to gather feedback

On Thursday, House Republicans in the State Government Finance Committee launched a website to gather comments and feedback from Minnesota families, taxpayers and small business owners affected by MNsure. Minnesotans testified before their committee on this week about the difficulties they have faced with our state’s healthcare exchange. The most recent concerns revolve around the thousands of Minnesotans who are waiting on their 1095-A form to file their taxes, an issue that MNsure has promised to finally resolve by the end of this week.
“MNsure’s failures continue to accumulate with their substantial backlog of 1095-A forms being just the latest example,” said Rep. Sarah Anderson, R-Plymouth, chair of the State Government Finance Committee. “MNsure must be held accountable to the people it serves, and unfortunately, legislators often do not hear about many of these problems until it is brought to light by constituents. I am hopeful individuals will share their stories on our newly launched MNsure comment page to help us better understand the difficulties that people are experiencing with our health care exchange, and the impact it is having on Minnesotans across the state.”
“The MNSure program has been incredibly stressful for people, and has negatively affected family pocketbooks, both in our area and throughout the state,” said District 27A Rep. Peggy Bennett, R- Albert Lea. “I hear from folks in our area all the time about the difficulty they have had with the MNSure exchange, MNSure tax return issues, and how incredibly expensive their insurance rates and deductibles have gotten. There are some huge problems that need to be fixed. Your feedback is incredibly important, and we would like to give you a chance to share your experience.”
