Albert Lea man elected

Ryan Sabinish, left, of Albert Lea was elected senior vice commander for the Minnesota State Order of the Purple Heart. The organization has over 1,400 members in Minnesota. All members are veterans that were wounded in war by the enemy and received the purple heart medal. The mission of the Military Order of the Purple Heart is to foster an environment of goodwill and camaraderie among combat wounded veterans, promote patriotism, support necessary legislative initiatives and — most importantly — provide service to all veterans and their families.
