A Community Sew Day took place on April 23. About 40 volunteers sewed quilts, children’s clothing, pillowcases, personal care bags and crib sheets. The items are then donated to Shinefest, school children in Jamaica, Gerrard Group Home, Reach and Restore Mission of Minneapolis and Bogota’s orphanage. The material was donated by places such as Calico Hutch of Hayward, and A-Best Sew & Vac donated the use of some of its machines. - Provided
