Funeral services for James William Quiggle will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. The Rev. Matthew Griggs will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

James went home to his Lord on Monday, May 16, 2016. May he rest in peace.

James (Jim) Quiggle was born July 11, 1925, at Guckeen. The family moved to their Hollandale farm in 1926. James was the third child born to Melvin and Minnie (Finke), joining two sisters. James lost his hearing at age 3 from a severe illness. He later attended West Side School near Hollandale and later transferred to Central School for the Deaf in Rochester. It was a school of well-rounded activities and a high scholastic curriculum. While enrolled those years, James became a member of the Boy Scouts of America of Rochester Troop 82. He enjoyed all the activities while earning many awards.

James always had a real love for farming and taking care of his much-loved horses and livestock. He continued to farm with his mother until her death. He continued grain farming until his retirement in 1984 and continued his farming activities by driving truck for Mulenburg Farms and others. Another great enjoyment was helping Hilltop Greenhouse and friends Glen and Gretchen Boldt.

On Aug. 6, 1975, James married Juletta Rollins Isenberger in Cross Lutheran Church at Evergreen, Colorado. This union brought three stepchildren and their families, along with a brother-in-law and wife to make a family. He always enjoyed them, and they treated him with much love and respect. James always enjoyed his home and lived there for 80 years.

Survivors include stepchildren Rita Rimrodt of Edmond, Oklahoma, and her children Tara and Kirk Rimrodt, Keith and Katherine Isenberger, Brandon of Golden, Colorado, and Brittany (Justin) Mangold of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Rollin and Jeanne Isenberger of Decorah, Iowa; brother-in-law, Troy Rollins, and wife, Mary, of Mesa, Arizona; niece, Kathy Jensen, of Albert Lea; other nieces and nephews; his family at Whispering Oaks; and many relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Sylvia Johnston and Vivian McCall; nephew, Harley Jamison; niece, Arlowayne Jorgenson; and brother-in-law, Wally McCall.

James was loved very much and his family shall always miss him and his beautiful smile.
