Marjorie died Thursday, May 5, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea. She was 92.
Marjorie was born March 3, 1924, in St. Charles, the daughter of Glenn and Florence (Raddatz) Sussex. She graduated from high school in Fulda. She was united in marriage to Cletus Effle, and they made their home in Albert Lea. Together they spent much time traveling the country visiting friends and family. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and was employed for over 25 years at Interstate Power Co.
In her free time Marjorie enjoyed reading, working hard crossword puzzles, scrapbooking and taking trips to the casino. She loved emailing friends and family, but the love of her life was the time spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite saying was “always be grateful”.

Great-grandchildren include Anna, Jack Starr, Andrew, Austin and Kate Peterson, Jameson Spritzer, Andrew and Alex Forwert and Abby and Jacob Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cletus; stepdaughter, Janine Jamison; and stepson, Jan Ford.
